Position Title: Youth Sports Transportation Driver
Location: Alpharetta, GA
Employment Type: Contract / Part‑time
We are seeking a responsible, safety‑focused Driver to transport children and teens to practices, games, tournaments, and other athletic activities. This role is ideal for individuals who are dependable, enjoy working with families, and can provide a secure, punctual, and supportive transportation experience. Drivers must maintain a child‑friendly environment and communicate clearly with parents, coaches, and coordinators.
Key Responsibilities
Safely transport children to and from sporting events, practices, camps, and training sessions
Follow scheduled pickup and drop‑off times with consistent punctuality
Use GPS or navigation apps to plan efficient routes and adjust for traffic or delays
Maintain a clean, organized, and child‑appropriate vehicle interior
Assist younger children with seatbelts, equipment bags, or entering/exiting the vehicle
Communicate professionally with parents, guardians, and team staff
Ensure all passengers follow safety rules, including proper seatbelt use
Monitor behavior and maintain a calm, respectful environment during rides
Provide updates to parents regarding arrival times, delays, or changes
Document mileage, trip logs, or attendance as required
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Experience working with children (driving, coaching, childcare, or similar roles)
Reliable personal vehicle that meets safety, cleanliness, and insurance standards
Strong knowledge of local roads, schools, parks, and sports facilities
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (sports bags, equipment, etc.)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Patience, professionalism, and a calm demeanor when working with kids
Ability to pass background checks or child‑transport safety screenings
Preferred Qualifications
Experience transporting children
Familiarity with school dismissal procedures, athletic schedules, or tournament logistics
Prior work with youth sports organizations, camps, or after‑school programs
Rideshare exoerience
Work Environment & Schedule
Flexible scheduling based on practice times, game days, and seasonal sports calendars
Work may include early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
Driving in various weather conditions and high‑traffic areas near schools or sports complexes
Interaction with children ranging from elementary to high school age
Compensation
Per‑trip rate, hourly pay, or contracted weekly schedule
Additional compensation for long‑distance travel or tournament days
